A Letter from the President

Dear Friends and Supporters,

In 2016 we embarked on an ambitious goal, to raise our scholarship endowment to 1 million dollars, thereby enabling greater outreach to the scholars in our community. We are pleased to share with our partners in this campaign those already contributing and those coming onboard—our progress to date.

With your generous help we have increased our endowment from $500,000 to over $600,000. Thank you to all our donors, great and small. Together we are making a difference in the lives of our youth and enabling non-profits in our community to continue their good works. We continue to increase annually the amount provided in scholarships to deserving high school graduates. In these challenging times, we are still in the business of making a way for others and supporting those creating legacies.

In 2020, we awarded $22,000 in academic scholarships. We also awarded $7,500 in grants to community non-profits in furtherance of our mission to encourage community leadership in education, economic empowerment, health and the arts. We encourage you to view what these organizations are doing by visiting their websites: The Reading Clinic, Girls Inc., of Greater Philadelphia & Southern NJ, and Project 440, Inc.

Thank you again for being a part of this success story. The landscape has changed dramatically since we began our campaign: A global pandemic impacting all our lives, and a national and worldwide movement voicing a cry for racial justice and demanding reform within systems and institutions that deny equal protection for all citizens. What has not changed is the need to support our young people and our communities.

As we increase momentum to reach our goal of 1 in 2021 and look to the future, we ask for your continued support and donations.

Start your Legacy today!
